These biscuits are super easy to make. A nice, quick add-on for supper!
-2 c flour
-2 tsp baking powder
-1/2 tsp salt
-3 tbsp sugar
-1/2 c chilled butter (1 margarine brick from the 3lb box)
-3/4 c buttermilk
1. Sift together dry ingredients, cut in butter (or margarine) with pastry blender or two knives til crumbly.
2. Add buttermilk, and mix lightly to make a soft dough.
3. Turn onto floured board, knead lightly for about 10 seconds.
4. Roll dough to 1/2" thickness, cut with 2" cutter, place on baking
sheet and bake at 425 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
